The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas that you don't would like. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.
Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an option for those who need both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best option. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with various additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive at retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. fail to impress. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and modify your home map or re-label the rooms.
If see this here select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed it can be accomplished with relative ease. It also has an impressive LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone, but it's one that will help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
Its base station looks good and hides it when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tested that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that lets the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.
But if you want to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other options available, including a lot of eufy models priced substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive however it comes with many more features, like stairs and a fully-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's easy to set it up, just snap on one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock near a power outlet and enough space to allow it to move but.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It uses an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable objects in its path. It keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it began.
The elegant G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.
